This is my second year as a counselor at Virtual High School and I am very excited about learning so many new things in regards to developing a student counselor relationship via distance. Previously I was a counselor at Western High School for 5 years and before that, a biology and earth science teacher at Clark High School.
I was born in Charelston, South Carolina while my dad was out on a nuclear sub, but raised here in Las Vegas since the age of 4. I graduated from Bonanza High School and then went on to UNLV, living in the dorms the first year, and got my B.S. in Secondary Education with an emphasis in biology. I earned my Masters in Education, Educational Psychology from UNLV as well and am beginning to take Educational Leadership courses also through UNLV (University of Never Leaving Vegas)
I am married, my husband Tom is a PE teacher. We have two wonderful children who keep us very busy, Trynn, aka "Princess Trynn" who is 4 and Zachary, aka "Monkey Boy" who is 4 months. We also have a dog, Terra and bird, Pet (what a zoo). We enjoy traveling and have an event promotion company. I am also a Miami Dolphins fan by association but know more about DNA replication than football. |
