Microeconomics AP

This is a one-semester course with an emphasis on meeting the requirements of the College Board Advanced Placement Microeconomics examination. Instructors should refer to the current Advanced Placement course description for examination specifics. This course will give advanced placement students a comprehensive understanding of the principles of microeconomics. Microeconomics is the study of decision-making by individuals and firms in a market economy. Emphasis will be placed on the nature and functions of product markets, including the study of factor markets and the role of government in promoting greater efficiency and equity in the economy. This course will fulfill one-half of one of the elective credits required for high school graduation. It is expected students will take the AP exam in May.
