Healthy Test Drive Promo Registration OPEN March 19th.

Healthy Test Drive General Information - Opens March 19th

For a limited time, CCSD Virtual High School will be offering Health and Driver Education* to students across the state of Nevada free of charge. A $10.00 processing fee applies.

  • Courses - Health, Driver Education. Health is a one semester course is equal to .5 credits. Driver Education is a one quarter course equal to .25 credits.
  • Fees/Cost - Free, minus a $10 processing fee - limited time only! Students will not have access to class until all outstanding fees have been paid.
    - Students who did not pay fees for the previous semester may not be able to enroll.
    - Virtual HS does not grant fee waivers.
    - Fees are paid online with a credit card.  There are NO REFUNDS due to the credit card processing fees.
    - Fees can be paid by the school, by the student, or by a third party organization sponsoring the enrollment.
    - Once the fees are paid, the student is enrolled into Virtual HS as a concurrent student.
  • Session - On-demand (open-entry / open-exit). Students request enrollment any time through their school counselor.
  • Self-paced Competency-based - students complete assignments at their own pace and finish once all content has been mastered.
  • Request Courses - Counselors must request courses BEFORE June 1st in order for the student to pay and begin.
  • Payment & Start Deadline - Students must pay all applicable fees by to June 13th in order to start classes. Students will not have access to class until all outstanding fees have been paid.
  • Attendance & Progress - Students may be dropped and/or receive an NM (no mark) if they are not logging in daily and completing assignments on pace.
  • Drop Deadline - Counselors can request to drop students prior to students taking the final exam. If a counselor is unavailable, please submit a user support help ticket.
  • Course Completion Deadlines - See Important Dates below.
  • Technology Requirements - Students will need access to a computer with high-speed internet, personal storage space on a hard drive or jump drive, and the ability to install any required software.
  • HIGH SCHOOL ONLY -The healthy test drive promo is available for current 9th-12th grade students only. 8th grade students are not eligable.

IMPORTANT DATES - Healthy Test Drive

May 25th - Course Completion Deadline - For Graduation Spring 2012 - Students must complete the courses by May 25th in order to receive credits for their Spring 2012 graduation.

June 1st - Last Day to Request
- Counselors must request the course by June 1st.

June 8th - 12th - BLACKBOARD MAINTENANCE - Courses Unavailable - Due to system maintenance, Healthy Test Drive classes will be unavailable between June 8th - June 12th. Please plan to complete coursework accordingly.

June 13th - Payment Due - Students must pay before gaining access to class. Students must begin by June 14th.

June 14th - Last Day to Start
- Students must log in and begin classes by June 14th.Students must pay before gaining access to class

June 30th - Course Completion Deadline - For ALL remaining students - Students must complete the courses by June 30th in order to receive credit for the course. Students who do not complete the course will receive an NM (no mark) on their transcript with 0 credit.

Summer School General Information - Opens April 16th

  • Concurrent students must pay a registration fee of $100 per course per semester if the course during Summer Session. Students who do not pay may not have access to the class or receive credit.
  • Virtual HS Summer School has only ONE session from June 18th - July 26th. All classes will be taken simultaneously during this time span.
  • Students who did not pay fees for the previous semester may not be able to enroll.
  • One semester course is equal to .5 credits.
  • Virtual HS does not grant fee waivers.
  • Fees are paid online with a credit card.  There are NO REFUNDS due to the credit card processing fees.
  • Fees can be paid by the school, by the student, or by a third party organization sponsoring the enrollment.
  • Once the fees are paid, the student is enrolled into Virtual HS as a concurrent student.
  • Students will need access to a computer with high-speed internet, personal storage space on a hard drive or jump drive, and the ability to install any required software.
  • Mastery based classes operate on a rolling enrollment, on-demand schedule.

IMPORTANT DATES - Summer School

Mid-May - Payment Begins - Students may begin paying summer school fees mid-May, after they have received the enrollment confirmation email instructing them to pay. Continue to check your account starting mid-May to see if fees have been applied to your account.

June 8th - Last Day To Request Course with Counselor


June 17th - All Payments Due - Students must have paid all course fees inorder to access the class or they will be dropped.

June 18th - Start of Summer School Single Session Students must pay before gaining access to class. Students must begin logging in and accessing class daily starting June 18th. Students who have not accessed by June 22nd will be dropped.

July 26th - Last Day of Summer School

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Part-Time Student Registration Process

Step 1 - Students Activate their Accounts
If the student has attended Virtual HS during the Fall 2010, Spring 2011, or Summer 2011 terms, skip to Step 2.

Step 2 - Visit Your Counselor

  • Students wanting to take one or two courses at Virtual HS must visit their home school counselor to register.

Step 3 - Counselor Requests Classes

  • The counselor logs in to the Virtual HS Online Registration System using their Counselor account and requests classes for the student.
  • Counselors are responsible for requesting the appropriate courses for their students.

Step 4 - Login and Pay - NO REFUNDS
Fees apply for part-time students taking courses outside the six period school day, or if they are outside the Clark County School District. Check the registration information for the term for costs. One semester course is equal to .5 credits.  Payment must be made online with a credit card when the student receives the confirmation email.

  • If you've forgotten your username or password, click here.
  • Click on the Payment Ledger link once you have logged in.
  • Students should continue to check in the registration system to confirm if they have been enrolled in the requested class and make any payments shown in their account.
  • When the student is enrolled by Virtual HS, they should receive an email stating they have been enrolled in the class and instructions to login and pay. Students then use their account and password to login to the Online Registration System and pay for their class(es) within fifteen (15) days of receiving their confirmation email. Due to personal email spam filters, students and parents should continue to log in to the registration system to check the status of their requested courses.
  • Students who do not pay course fees will be dropped.
  • NO REFUNDS will be given.

Full-Time Student Interest - During School Year Only

Students interested in taking ALL their classes online for FREE through Virtual HS can now submit an Interest Form via a Help Ticket. Follow the instructions below.

Step 1 - Navigate to the Virtual HS Help Ticket
Visit ccsdde.net and click the Contact Support Icon on the right (or click here to go there now). Be sure you have reviewed all documents regarding enrollment for the term.

Step 2 - When Prompted about Forgotten Passwords, click NO
To access the form, click the No button. This will bring up the form.

Step 3 - For the Issue Type, select Virtual HS Full-time Enrollment Request. Fill in the form.
Fill in all required fields of the form. Be sure to verify that all contact information is correct. You may also attach a PDF of your transcript if you have it available to you.

Step 4 - Check for Contact
Please be patient, a Virtual HS representative will contact you shortly via phone or email regarding full-time enrollment options. If you have any concerns regarding your form submittal, you are welcome to contact us by phone at 702-855-8435 to verify that we have received it.

SPRING 2012

Spring Part-Time Student Registration will OPEN November 28th.
Full-time registration will OPEN December 6th.

IMPORTANT DATES
February 14th, 2012 - Last Day To Enroll. Students must have visited their counselor and put in the request for the class by this date.
February 15th, 2012 - All Payments Due &Students MUST access class
. Students must have paid all course fees and accessed the class or they will be dropped.
March 2nd, 2012 - Last Day to Drop. Students who remain in class after March 2nd WILL receive a grade on their transcript. No refunds will be given.
