Part-Time Students - Wednesday, August 20, 2008 - On-Site OPTIONAL

• Session 1: 2 pm
• Session 2: 3 pm
• Session 3: 4 pm
• Session 4: 5 pm
• Session 5: 6 pm

Note: Orientations for Part-Time students (students who are only taking 1-2 Virtual HS classes) will be held at Virtual HS located on A-Tech's campus at 2501 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas NV, 89106, east parking lot. On-site orientation is OPTIONAL for Part-time students. Students who are unable to attend the orientation in person may view orientation documents online. Orientation will last approximately one hour. Overflow sessions will start as soon as the previous session completes.

Full-Time Students - Monday, August 25, 2008 - On-site MANDATORY

• 9th graders: 8-10 am
• 10th graders: 10-Noon
• 11th graders: Noon-2 pm
• 12th graders: 2pm-4pm

Note: Orientations for Full-Time students (students taking all classes at Virtual HS) will be held at Virtual HS located on A-Tech's campus at 2501 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas NV, 89106, east parking lot. On-site orientation is MANDATORY for Full-time students. Orientation will last approximately one hour. Overflow sessions will start as soon as the previous session completes.

Make-Up Sessions

• Full-Time Students - Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 10am-Noon
• ALL Students - Thursday, August 28, 2008, 5-7 pm
• ALL Students - Thursday, September 4, 2008, 4-6pm
• ALL Students - Thursday, September 11, 2008, 4-6pm

Note:Make-up orientations are available for those unable to attend previous orientation sessions, as well as those with additional questions. Everyone is welcome.

What you need:

• Computer
• High Speed Internet
• Drive space, network space, or portable media storage device to save your Portfolio (notes, assignments, other course documents)
• Headset and/or Speakers and Microphone

What to do the first time you log in:

• Review the Orientation PowerPoint and the Orientation Notes
• Test your Browser on the "Virtual High School" tab
• Submit a User Support Help Desk ticket if you have Login or Enrollment problems
• Complete the Introduction to Blackboard section in each of your classes before August 29th

What to do everyday:

• Log in to Blackboard
• Access each class to check the announcements and complete your lessons
• Participate!
• Attend any scheduled Instructional Support Sessions
