Final Exams and Material Check-In

Final exams will be taken online at home starting on May 27th to May 30th. Due to the number of students accessing our server for finals, exams will be set for adapted release based on content area then remain open the following exam days. Please view the adapted release schedule below.

Final Exam Schedule

May 23, 2008 - Last day for students to submit assignments
May 27, 2008 - Final Exams – Math and Electives
May 28, 2008 - Final Exams – English and Social Studies
May 29, 2008 - Final Exams – Science
June 2, 2008 - Final Grades Posted in Blackboard
June 5, 2008 - Virtual HS Graduation at 1 p.m.

All finals will be set for only 1 attempt lasting for a 2 hour duration. A half hour maintenance session will occur between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAKE YOUR EXAMS DURING THIS TIME. You may lose all progress and become locked out of your exam. Please plan for your 2 hour testing time to take place before or after this maintenance time.

If you experience technical problems during your final exam:

1. Do NOT close your test window
2. Open a new browser window by clicking the "File" menu and selecting "New Window"
3. Contact the User Support Help Desk by clicking the "Students" menu and selecting "User Support Help Desk"
4. In the "Issue type:" drop down menu, select "Final Exams - Spring 08"
5. Fill out the form--include as many details as possible, including the course you are having trouble with and the time you started the test
6. Before clicking submit, please type the name of the course you are having trouble with and the time you started your final exam in the "Brief Description" field

The User Support Help Desk will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to assist with final exam issues. If you experience problems outside of this time period, you may still contact User Support, and we will respond during our next available period.

Material Check-in:

Students who have checked out a laptop, AP materials, or other course materials will need to turn them in during finals week at the Virtual High School office.

Remember, the last opportunity to turn in any assignments for the semester is on May 23rd. Final grades will be posted in Blackboard on June 2nd.
